Bemidji Northern Heat 12U team invited to Twins Parade of Champions

The Bemidji Northern Heat 12U AAA baseball team was invited to participate in the Parade of Champions at the Minnesota Twins home game against Detroit on Tuesday.

MINNEAPOLIS – The Bemidji Northern Heat 12U AAA baseball team was invited to participate in the Parade of Champions at the Minnesota Twins home game against Detroit on Tuesday.

The Northern Heat (24-15-1) were invited after qualifying for two Minnesota state tournaments this season: The 96-team Gopher State Tournament of Champions, where they made it to the round of 16; and the Minnesota Sports Federation Youth Baseball State Tournament, where they took third place out of 10 12U AAA qualifying teams.

Northern Heat player Brody Roscoe also threw the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday’s game.
