The Bemidji High girls tennis team made a sparkling debut into its dual meet season Thursday, spanking Grand Rapids-Greenway 6-1 on the High School courts.
Bemidji won three of the four singles and swept the doubles. All matches went in straight sets.
Jamie Hoffman won her important battle with Sarah Stejskal of the Rapids 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and sisters Kenzie and Taylor Kane added wins at No. 3 and 4. Kenzie was extended in beating Linsey Stocco 7-5, 6-3, Taylor lost only one point at No. 4.
The doubles teams also won handily surrendering only 14 points.
Bemidji also took the lone exhibition doubles with Andrea LongVoelkner and Katie Ditmanson.

The JV team also won 4-3, taking four of the six doubles while losing the only singles match.
The net team heads to Fergus Falls Thursday to face the Otters and Moorhead.
