MADISON, Wis. -- The Bemidji State women’s hockey team saw its season come to an end on Saturday in Madison, Wis. The fourth-ranked Badgers finished off their sweep of the Beavers with a 5-0 win, ending BSU’s year in the WCHA quarterfinals.
Casey O’Brien, Nicole LaMantia and Daryl Watts scored in the first period for UW (25-6-4), with O’Brien and Makenna Webster adding goals in the second session.
Kerigan Dowhy concluded her Bemidji State career with 44 saves on 49 shots faced, while Wisconsin’s Kennedy Blair stopped 15 shots to earn the shutout.
The Beavers (11-20-3) have four fifth-year seniors in Paige Beebe, Lindsey Featherstone, Lydia Passolt and Dowhy and three fourth-year seniors in Lexi Baker, Graysen Myers and Claudia Verkerke.
