BEMIDJI – Beaver Radio Network play-by-play host Kelly Schultz will call the New Jersey Devils’ game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday, March 8, the Devils announced on Monday.

Schultz will comprise one half of the first all-female digital broadcast in Devils franchise history. She will be joined by Erica Ayala, who will serve as the color commentator.

"It's like a dream come true to be able to work a game for the NHL," Schultz said in a release. "I've been dreaming of this moment since I was a little girl, watching the Minnesota North Stars and listening to Wally Shaver call games so, for me, this is huge."

The game serves as the Devils’ Gender Equality Night.

Schultz has 15 years of play-by-play experience and is currently the radio voice of the Bemidji State women's hockey team, as well as BSU’s women’s soccer, among others.
