ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Former Bemidji State defenseman Justin Baudry has signed a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2019-20 season with the Rochester Americans, general manager Randy Sexton announced Tuesday.

Baudry, 22, recently completed his four-year career with the Beavers by being named to the All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association Second Team for his senior season.
The native of La Broquerie, Man., led BSU with a career-high 31 points (9g-22a) in 2018-19. Baudry’s 30-point campaign was the fourth by a BSU blueliner since 1999-2000. His 22 assists tie him for sixth on BSU’s Division I-era assist list and are the most by a Beaver since Matt Read’s 22 in 2009-10.

In 146 career collegiate games, Baudry collected 68 points (21g-47a) to tie Markus Gerbrandt for 22nd on BSU’s Division I-era scoring list and rank third among defensemen on the list.
Baudry notched one assist in two games for the AHL’s Ontario Reign toward the end of the 2018-19 season after signing an amateur tryout contract with the Los Angeles Kings affiliate March 12.
The Americans are the AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres.
