SARTELL -- Seedings became official for the girls basketball Section 8-3A Tournament on Saturday.

There wasn’t much suspense for Bemidji, which earned the No. 3 seed after occupying the spot for much of the regular season. The Lumberjacks will host sixth-seeded Sauk Rapids-Rice at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the BHS Gymnasium in a rematch of an 87-43 Bemidji win on Jan. 4.

The winner will advance to play to either second-seeded Fergus Falls or seventh-seeded Little Falls in the section semifinals at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in Moorhead.

On the other half of the bracket, top-seeded Alexandria earned a first-round bye, and they’ll play the winner of fourth-seeded Detroit Lakes and fifth-seeded Sartell-St. Stephen.

The section championship is set for 7 p.m. on March 7 at a to-be-announced neutral site.
