BASKETBALL: Former Beaver named LSU assistant coach

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Former Bemidji State men’s basketball standout Aaron Kallhoff has been hired as an assistant coach for the LSU women’s basketball team, Tigers head coach Nikki Fargas announced on Tuesday. Kallhoff brings 15 years of collegiate coaching experience to the table, including the last three seasons at TCU.

After transferring from Northeast Nebraska Community College, Kallhoff played his final two seasons at BSU where he was a two-year starter, and in his senior season led NCAA Division II in assist/turnover ratio before graduating in 2003. The Norfolk, Neb. native began his coaching career at Allen County Community College in Kansas, and later made stops at Seward County CC (Kan.), Hill College (Texas), Trinity Valley CC (Texas), Arkansas State and TCU.
