GIRLS BASKETBALL: Jacks enter sections as fifth seed

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji High School girls basketball team finished the regular season with an 8-17 record, setting them up with the fifth seed in the Section 8-3A tournament and a date with fourth-seeded Little Falls (11-15).

The two teams tip off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Little Falls High School in a rematch of their Jan. 16 game which the Flyers won 51-46.

The winner of Tuesday’s matchup moves on to face the section’s top seed, Alexandria (21-5), at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at St. Cloud State.

Other quarterfinal games include No. 2 Fergus Falls (19-7) against No. 7 Detroit Lakes (6-20) and No. 3 Sartell-St. Stephen (16-10) against No. 6 Sauk Rapids-Rice (9-17).
