BEMIDJI - The Bemidji Blue Ox are in the midst of the Region 10C Minnesota Baseball Association Tournament being played here in Bemidji.
The Blue Ox will continue their run today at noon when they host Ada in an elimination game.
With a win, the Blue Ox will clinch a spot in the championship, where Roseau awaits the winner for a 4 p.m. matchup.
This will be the Blue Ox’s second matchup with the Ada Athletics in the tournament, the A’s beat Bemidji 11-4 before getting beat by Roseau and sent down into the loser’s bracket.
In the loser’s bracket, Bemidji defeated Red River 3-1 to advance. The Blue Ox also defeated the Honkers 6-2 in their first game of the tournament.
In Grand Rapids, the Bemidji Bucks are looking to get a spot in the Region 6B Minnesota Baseball Association Tournament.
The Bucks will travel to play the Indians in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. today.
If the teams split, a deciding game will played at 2 p.m. on
Sunday to see who will enter the tournament next week in Hibbing.
Already punching their tickets into the regional tournament are the Moorhead Brewers and the Twin Ports North Stars.
