Bemidji High School sports fans have three home events to choose from today as the girls basketball, boys basketball and boys hockey teams all enjoy the home advantage.
The girls hockey team also is in action today as it travels to Sartell for the quarterfinal round of the Section 8-2A tournament.
Bemidji was seeded fifth in the field while Sartell was ranked fourth.
The basketball teams will stage a doubleheader against Alexandria and the games are the anchors for the "Hoops for Cancer" fundraiser. In addition to the games, special events will be held to help raise money to fight cancer.
The girls game begins at 1 p.m. and the boys game at 3 p.m. The boys junior varsity and freshmen teams will play during the girls varsity contest and the schedule will reverse at 3 p.m.
