SARTELL -- Host Sartell-St. Stephen took the team title and Bemidji finished fifth at the Section 5A True Team high school boys swimming and diving championship Saturday.
Sam Hendricks led the Lumberjacks with two top-10 finishes in individual events and helped two relay teams place in the top 10.
Hendricks took fourth in the 100-yard backstroke and sixth in the 200 freestyle.
Luke Yartz added a seventh-place finish for Bemidji in the 200 individual medley. The Jacks finished well in diving, with Brekt Thorsgard taking sixth, Teagen Fenske seventh and Braden Olson 10th.
Bemidji’s 400 freestyle relay team of Walker Erickson, Yartz, Brooks Matetich and Hendricks took fifth. Riley Berg, Pau Mesegue, Kolden Michalicek and Moses Son finished 10th in the 200 freestyle relay. Hendricks, Erickson, Matetich and Yartz placed 10th in the 200 medley relay.
