THIEF RIVER FALLS -- The Bemidji boys swimming and diving team beat Thief River Falls by a total team score of 118-50.
The Lumberjacks were propelled by a standout performance in the 200-yard medley relay. The Lumberjacks would go on to take both first (2:10.08) and second (2:10.59) in the event.
The 400 free relay teams also swept the top two spots, finishing with times of 3:53.31 and 3:55.47.
The 200-yard free relay team was also victorious, finishing with a time of 1:46.89.
Other notable solo efforts by the Lumberjacks included that of Walker Erickson who posted a time of 2:10.28 and took first in the 200 freestyle. Michalicek finished first in the 200 IM (2:39.70) and 100-yard backstroke (1:14.66), while Sam Hendricks took first in the 100 butterfly (1:02.40) and 100 breastroke (1:12.74).
The next boys team meet will be this Saturday, Jan. 19, for the MSSC Section True Team meet in Sartell.
