WEST FARGO, N.D. -- The Bemidji High School boys swimming and diving team recorded 146.5 points to finish seventh at the Border Battle meet in West Fargo on Saturday.
Sam Hendricks posted a pair of top-10 times for the Lumberjacks. He tied for fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.71) and took seventh in the 500 freestyle (5:26.73).
Luke Yartz also cracked the top-10 in the 500 free, finishing ninth (5:34.95).
The Bemidji 400 free relay team of Hendricks, Yartz, Walker Erickson and Brooks Matetich also earned a top-10 time by taking sixth (3:44.81).
Alexandria won the nine-team meet with 453 points.
The Lumberjacks will return home to host their Bemidji Invitational at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the high school.
