WARROAD -- The Bemidji High School girls swimming and diving team earned a second-place finish at the Section 8A True Team meet in Warroad Saturday. The Lumberjacks recorded 1,105.5 points to trail only Detroit Lakes’ 1,233.

Bemidji grabbed second-place finishes in the 200-yard free relay (1:50.59) and the 400 free relay (4:05.69).

Abby Yartz posted the best finish by a BHS individual with her second-place performance in the 100 butterfly (1:05.62).

Alli Howard took third in the diving event with her score of 336.7, and she was followed by teammates Mady Schmidt (327.3) and Lauren Lundquist (327.25) in fourth and fifth.

The Lumberjacks will next compete Tuesday, Oct. 23, back at BHS in a dual meet against Detroit Lakes.
