MOORHEAD -- The Bemidji High School girls swimming and diving team fell to Moorhead, 108-76, in a dual meet Thursday night in Moorhead.

Lumberjacks captured wins in five of 12 events, with Abby Yartz leading the way with first-place finishes in the 200-yard IM (2:23.74) and 100 backstroke (1:04.84).

Other individual event winners for BHS included Paige Andersen in the 50 free (27.23) and Mady Schmidt in diving (211.15).

Yartz, Andersen, Claudia Vincent and Laura Davis teamed up to win the 400 free relay for the Jacks with a time of 3:56.4.

The Lumberjacks will be back in the pool for the Section 8 True Team Meet in Warroad on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
