VOLLEYBALL: Beavers finish winless in NSIC

MARSHALL -- The Bemidji State volleyball team wrapped up its season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-15) road loss to No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday.

Becky Schroeder led the BSU attack with seven kills against the Mustangs, while Julie Touchett and Maddie Filipiak each had five.

On defense, Emma Hallman had a team-high 11 digs and Kelli Auer added six. Setter Sami Leach tallied 21 assists.

For SMSU, Taylor Reiss and Kaylee Burmeister had double-digit kills with 11 each, set up mostly by Megan Larson, who had 42 assists.

The Beavers’ final record is 3-26 overall and 0-20 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
