BSU ROUNDUP: Softball, track, volleyball add commits

BEMIDJI -- Bemidji State head softball coach Rick Supinski announced the commitment of Elaina Christiansen on Wednesday during the early National Letter of Intent signing period.

Christiansen, a catcher/center fielder from Brainerd, was named Central Lakes All-Conference in 2016 and 2017 and was an honorable mention in 2015. She was also a member of the Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Section team in 2015 and 2016.

The BSU track and field team also landed a pair of athletes, as head coach Kevin Kean announced Rezabek and Mara Halvorson signed their NLIs. Rezabek, also playing basketball, will throw javelin for the Beavers while Halvorson, a Chaska native, will compete in sprint jumps.

Bemidji State volleyball head coach Kevin Ulmer added five commitments on Wednesday, as well. Mary Campbell (Faribault, Bethlehem Academy High School), Taylor Kot (Oconomowoc, Wis., Oconomowoc HS), Maddie Mackinac (Rosemount, Rosemount HS), Greta Paszek (Hartland, Wis., Arrowhead HS) and Haley Stolt (Savage, Prior Lake HS) will be set to join the program in 2018.
