TAARNBY, Denmatk - The Korey Dropkin rink, which features Bemidji natives Mark Fenner and Alex Fenson, won their third straight game Tuesday at the 2016 VoIP Defender World Junior Championships in Taarnby, Denmark.
The Dropkin rink beat Korea’s Jun Yeong Hong rink 9-4.
The U.S. men are now 3-1 in the round robin standings and in a four-way tie for first place with Russia, Scotland and Switzerland.
The American men were not shy about utilizing the last-rock advantage today and scored three deuces and ended the game with a three-ender in the ninth to defeat Korea (0-4).
The U.S. women also won two matchers, as beating Russia 11-2 and Scotland 8-4.
The U.S. men are back in action today with a morning game against Norway (2-2) then end the day against Russia (3-1) -one of the teams the Americans are currently tied with for a share of first place.
