Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fisheries staff are finding fewer walleye in their nets in the waters of Kandiyohi County's premier walleye lake. The waters of Green Lake are warming and becoming more transparent, a trend sure to continue now that zebra mussels have taken hold in it. The changes are detrimental to walleye, and have led the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to propose reducing the walleye bag limit from six to three, with one over 20 inches.
