LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Did protesters ‘leave the oil in the soil’ themselves?
Nancy Beaulieu wrote a letter (Jan. 2) regarding her and others' protest over Enbridge's Line 3.
She states that she wants to "continue to protect the water and air for future generations." I fully agree with that sentiment.
However, she closes her letter with the statement: "Leave the oil in the soil."
My question is: Did you, Ms. Beaulieu? Did you get to the protest at Third and Beltrami by horse? Did you arrive by a fully electric vehicle? Did all of your fellow protesters arrive by similar means or perhaps on foot?
I doubt it.
Apparently you did not "leave the oil in the soil" like you urged others to do.
