The Pioneer (Sept. 20) headlined an article “County eyes a 4.48 percent levy increase.” The actual amount and the motion that was made and passed by a 4 to 1 vote by the Beltrami County Board was for a 5.83 percent increase this year. I believe the residents of Beltrami County need that clarification, because that is a substantial difference in the amount of money asked of the taxpayers.

The article spelled that out further on in the text, but the headline was not the actual amount passed by the board. Thank you for the clarification.
