Yvonne Ingalls

Yvonne Ann Ingalls, 87, of Clearbrook died on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Neilson Place in Bemidji.

Yvonne was born on February 23, 1934 in Duluth to Olga and Donald Peterson. She moved to the Clearbrook/Leonard area as a young child and graduated from Clearbrook High School. She went on to attend nursing school in Duluth and then worked as a nurse. Yvonne married George Ingalls of Bagley on March 17, 1956. They were married for 58 years until George’s death in December of 2014. They raised three sons, Scott, Brian, and Keith.

Yvonne was a very kind, thoughtful, and independent woman. She had a twinkle in her eye and a gentle sense of humor. Yvonne cared deeply about her family, church, and community. She spent many hours volunteering at her church and other organizations throughout the years.

Yvonne loved gardening, sewing, and gathering with family and friends. She hosted many family dinners where good food and company were enjoyed by all. Many family stories were shared at her table.

Yvonne will be greatly missed by her sons and their spouses: Scott (Lisa) of Lewisville, TX, Brian (Linda) of Bemidji, Keith (Tara) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas of TX and Anna and Elizabeth of MN; brothers Duane (Marjorie) of Bloomington, MN and Blake of Bemidji; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Olga Peterson and her husband, George Ingalls.

A family memorial service will be held in the summer.
