Roland Michael “Mike” Wallace


Roland Michael “Mike” Wallace, 79, of Pinewood, MN died Friday, September 3, 2021 at his home.

No services will be held. Family inurnment will be in the spring.

Roland Michael Wallace was born April 1, 1942 in Pinewood, MN to Earl and Nettie (Yoemans) Wallace. He grew up in Pinewood where he attended elementary school and graduated Bemidji High School. He entered the US Army and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. After his discharge he returned home and began logging. He was a DNR firearms instructor and was an original member of the Solway Sportsmans Club. He was a lifetime member of the Legion, VFW, DAV and NRA. Mike was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman and loved to play the guitar.

He is survived by his siblings, Frank Wallace, Dexie Smith and Judy (Daryl) Hinrichs and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nettie Wallace; brothers, John and Richard Wallace and his best friend, George.
