Myrna Mrazek


Myrna Mae Mrazek, 84, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 7, 2022 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji with Father Christon Muhero officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji in the spring.

Myrna was born January 29, 1938 in Bemidji, the daughter of Ralph and Ann (Kimmes) Murphy. She was raised and educated in Bemidji, graduating from Bemidji High School in 1956. She married Dennis Mrazek on September 15, 1956 in Bemidji, MN. She worked as an administrative officer with the Indian Health Service for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, playing cribbage, bowling, and watching and feeding the birds. She loved spending quality time with her family. Myrna was known for her exceptional motherly demeanor. She always opened her home to anyone in need, no questions asked. Myrna had a knack for “adopting” people into the family, and making sure they knew they were loved. She was everyone’s rock through hard times, and had a gentle loving, giving spirit.

She is survived by her son Timothy Mrazek of Bemidji,  daughter Terri Mrazek of Bemidji,  6 grandchildren Mia (James) Mrazek of Otsego, MN,  Todd (Ashley) Mrazek, Jr. of Ham Lake, MN,  Katie (Matt) Smith of Blaine, MN,  Ann (Ben) Michaud of Carlton, MN,  Marci Mrazek of Fargo, ND,  Emily Tjader of Bemidji,  6 great grandchildren Mackenzie Mrazek of Ham Lake, MN,  Oaklynn Michaud of Carlton, MN,  Harper Smith of Blaine, MN,  Taylen Michaud of Carlton, MN,  Maisyn Michaud of Carlton, MN,  Jensen Smith of Blaine, MN,  and her brother Mike (Gloria) Murphy of Bemidji.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis, her son Todd Mrazek.

Casketbearers will be Dan Mrazek, Ben Michaud, Matt Smith, Tony Murphy, Darrin Petersen, and Kurt Lauderbaugh.  Condolences may be left at
