Lisa Marie Melberg

Lisa Marie Melberg, (46), East Grand Forks, MN, joined her mother in heaven on December 27, 2021.

Lisa was born April 21, 1975, the daughter of Daniel and Roxanne (Klasen) Melberg in Twentynine Palms, CA. A member of a military family, she was raised in several places including Augusta, GA, Bemidji, MN, MCAS Cherry Point, NC, MCAS Kaneohe Bay Hawaii, and again in California before settling in East Grand Forks, MN.

Lisa was happy and cheerful, brought joy to those around her and was often the life of the party. Although she made her needs known, she was the motivation in the creation of communication software for the special needs community. Lisa often donated her hair to Locks of Love for children in need.

Survivors include her father, Dan Melberg, East Grand Forks, MN; brother, Matt Melberg, Grand Forks, ND, and grandfather, Leroy Klasen, Bemidji, MN.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Roxanne Melberg; and grandparents, Janet Klasen, and Charles and Marcella Melberg.

Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at University Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service at the church. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks. Arrangements are with Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks.
