Carol Y Johnson (Grahn)

Carol Yvonne Johnson passed away on June 29th at 12:15 AM in Hibbing, MN after a long battle with cancer. Carol was born in Roseau, Minnesota on December 29th, 1943 to Anna and Hilding (Alf) Grahn.

Carol grew up on a farm outside of Roseau, MN. As a kid she was active in 4-H. Her mom was a talented seamstress she and her sisters all learned to sew. Carol carried that skill through her life. The sisters also all enjoyed a rainy day because their dad did not have to work the farm and they could head to Salol to get an ice cream cone. After graduating High School Carol went to Augsburg College. She met and married Larry Johnson and had three children; Steve, Paul, and Neil.

Carol was an entrepreneur at heart. She owned and operated a number of business ventures including a sewing machine and fabric shop in Rice Lake, WI and a Tanning and Fitness Salon in Bemidji. She was also a great gardener and cook.

Carol was proceeded in death by Larry and her son, Paul, her parents, and her sister, Judy. She is survived by her sisters Ida Mae Johnson and Joan Mollers, her sons Steve and Neil, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Debs, MN (26685 Debs Rd Nw, Pinewood) on Saturday July 23rd at 1PM.
