Donetta Gillstrom

Donetta Gillstrom, 74, of Bemidji, MN went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN.

Committal services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji, MN. Arrangements are with the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

She was born June 22, 1946 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Virgil and Leona (Wayman) Smith. She married Albert Gillstrom in 1973. They had a daughter Michelle Renae in 1974. Donetta graduated from Bemidji High School. She moved to Montana to live with her sisters Kathy and Lynn. She moved back to Bemidji after a short stay. She went to Oak Hills Bible College in Bemidji. She also took a missionary trip to Honduras. Donetta did a lot of baby sitting jobs in and around Bemidji for many years. Donetta and Albert lived in Bemidji until Albert passed away a year ago at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji. Donetta struggled with health problems until she passed away in the cities.

She is survived by her, daughter, Michelle Smith of Bagley, siblings, Kathy (Mac) Hardin of Minnetonka, Dave (Linda) Smith of Big Lake, Lynn Rohl of Lolo, MT, and Robert Smith of Bemidji. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 grandsons.
