Lois Statton

Lois Statton, 91, of Bemidji, MN passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Neilson Place, Bemidji, MN. A celebration of life will be held August 2nd at the United Methodist Church at 5:00.
Lois was born in Tenstrike, MN on July 15, 1928, to Roy and Ella Gregg. They lived in Tenstrike, Red Lake and Bemidji. Lois graduated from Bemidji High School and French’s Business College. She met Clyde Statton and they married in 1948. They had five children. Clyde and Lois ran Statton’s Meat Service for many years.
She loved playing cards especially 500 Rummy. Family and grandchildren spent many hours playing Rummy with her. When she no longer knew her family, due to Alzheimer’s disease, she could still beat them in cards! She was known for her great sense of humor and will be dearly missed by friends and family.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ken and Wallace, sister Joyce, husband Clyde and granddaughter Kelly.
She is survived by her five children, Bill (Gina), Terry (Maria), Dan (Kathy), Gayle (Dan) and Nancy (Paul) and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family requests no memorials.
