Ila Senn

Ila Senn, 80, of Cass Lake, MN died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at home.

Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cass Lake, MN. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake, MN.

She was born October 23, 1940 in Pelican Rapids, MN the daughter of Ephraim and Linnea (Forsgren) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Pelican Rapids. She married Clifford Senn, Jr April 4, 1959 in Pelican Rapids, MN. They moved to Cass Lake in 1964. She worked for the Cass Lake School from 1968 until her retirement in 1999. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cass Lake. She was active with the Cass Lake Food Shelf, Lake Country Lions, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles, and playing cards with her friends and games with her grandchildren. She loved being with her family. Her house and arms were always available to anyone. We shall all miss Ila’s hugs.

She is survived by her son, Blane (Kay) Senn of Couderay, WI; daughters, Renee (Ken) Wittner of Cass Lake and Lynnette (Frank) Homer of Bemidji; grandchildren, Tyler, Brittany, Lindsey, Nikki, Abbi, Courtney, Brooke, and Chad; great grandchildren, Ayden, Brynlee, Kennedy, Tatum, Myles, Karlee, Austin, and Lila; best friends, Karen Frazer and Barb Goss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cliff, brothers, Donovan, Harlow, and Leroy; sisters, Donna and Nola.
