Helen Thompson

Helen Thompson, 94, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, June 8, 2020 at Autumn Hills Assisted Living in Bemidji.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Private interment will be at the Solway Cemetery in Solway, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Helen was born April 13, 1926 in Shevlin, MN the daughter of Victor and Estella (Dahlman) Judin. She graduated from Bagley High School. She married Roy Thompson June 4, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN. They went on to have 8 children. She enjoyed scrabble, crossword puzzles, word searches, knitting, quilting, playing piano, lefsa making, and sewing. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels and was the church organist.

Helen is survived by her children, Mark (Minda) of Bemidji, MN, Michael of Bemidji, Timothy (Deb) of Bemidji, Julie Larson of Cottage Grove, Daniel (Lori) of Bemidji, Andrew (LuAnn) of Bemidji, Christopher of Bemidji, and Mary Maas (Jack) of Monroe, WA; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, parents, sisters, Ethel Gordon, Irene Anderson, Betty Mae Penia, and Gloria Sovick, and son-in-law Michael MaGaurn.
