Gregory R. Rasmus

Age 74 of Ham Lake, MN passed away Nov. 12, 2020. Born on June 7, 1946 in Crookston, MN. He spent his childhood in Fertile, MN. He graduated from Bemidji High School and received a B.S. in Business Administration from Bemidji State University. He spent his entire 39-year career at Security Life Insurance Co. as head of the IT department. He enjoyed lots of travel with his wife and many friends, and was passionate about hunting, fishing, detailing cars, and creating spreadsheets for just about everything. Last month, he and his wife, Trudy, celebrated 50 years of marriage. He was a man of integrity; generous, loyal, inspiring and loved by many.

Greg is preceded in death by parents, Ray & Gerry. Survived by his wife and children, Aaron (Anna-Marie) Rasmus & Autumn (Andy) Schinka; grandchildren, Daniel & Katherine Rose Rasmus, Samantha & Addison Schinka; brother, Tim (Sandy) Rasmus; sister, Monica Eklund (Steve Jorgenson); nieces & nephews, Sabin, Luke, Alyssa, Seth, Chad, Chris & Lisa; many other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service at Eagle Brook Church, Blaine Campus (3603 - 95th Ave. NE) Thursday, November 19 at 1 PM. Large capacity allows for social distancing; masks required. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN, Friday, November 20 at 1 PM. Memorials preferred to A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation (abreathofhope.org).
