Ena Loy Sorquist

Ena Loy Sorquist, 85, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sell Lake Cemetery in Shevlin, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Ena Loy Wallin was born August 6, 1935 in Shevlin, MN the daughter of Roy and Flora Wallin. She was raised and educated in Shevlin, graduating from Bagley High School in 1953. She married James Sushak January,1955. For the next 20 years she and James were stationed in various states during his Air Force career. They welcomed three children, Ricky, Janet, and Allan. They retired and settled in Bemidji in the mid 70’s. She was known as her role as the demo lady, offering samples at Food For Less, Marketplace, Luekens, and Walmart. They later divorced. In 2005 she married Terry Sorquist. In 2005, Ena Loy and Terry later opened Auto Mart Car Dealership in Bemidji; retiring in 2017. She enjoyed playing slot machines, shopping at Herberger’s, crossword puzzles, and sipping her coffee.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Sorquist, children, Janet (Eric) Larson, and Allan Sushak, grandchildren, Taylor and Lauren Larson, great grandson, Bentley Carlson, sister, JoAnn Wallin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ricky, and her brother Forrest Wallin.
