Darrin Nielsen

49, passed away on Oct 3, 2020 in Leander, TX. Darrin was born on June 30, 1971 in Little Falls, MN to Niel and Marilyn (Schummer) Nielsen.

Celebration of life is on May 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Schummer Backwoods Bar and Grill.

Darrin was raised by his mother and stepfather, Frank (Butch) Hazen. He grew up all over the country as a military brat. Spent his adult years primarily working as a mechanic in different locations but eventually called Texas home.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a deep bond with his dog, Rickie.

He is survived by his daughter Faith, mother Marilyn Hazen, his sisters Ann Schommer, Mary (Vaughn) Frederick, Emily (Pat) Hazen-Carner, brother Peter Hazen, 6 nephews and 4 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Niel Nielson, stepfather Frank (Butch) Hazen, grandparents Clarence & Mildred Schumer and Alvin & Bernice Nielsen.
