Clarence Lindseth

Clarence Lindseth, 89, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Private family services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Clarence LeRoy Lindseth was born November 26, 1930 in Bemidji, MN to Harold and Marjorie (Main) Lindseth. He attended elementary school in Turtle River and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1948. On October 20, 1951 he married Ardella Silverthorn in Turtle River, MN. He owned the Northern Store and Oil Company for 30 years and 30 days. He liked hunting and fishing with friends and family. He caught a 600 pound Blue Marlin in Mexico and most recently fulfilled one of his life’s dreams of shooting an elk with his grandson and his great-granddaughter. He liked camping if there was work to be done. He also liked cutting and delivering wood and plowing snow. Clarence was a Northern Township road supervisor for many years. He served on the Beltrami Electric Board and Minnkota Power Board. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ardella Lindseth of Bemidji; daughter, Janet Lindseth Forte of Bemidji; son, Michael Lindseth of Bemidji; 7, grandchildren, JodyLynn (Brian) Hughes, Allison (Chris French) Forte, Trinity (Anne) Lindseth, Jed (Meggan Page) Lindseth, Anna (Justin) Welcome, Kylie Rose Lindseth; great-grandchildren, Madison, Brody and Odin Lindseth; Lux and Aaliayah Wellcome; step-great-grandchildren, Ariyah and Zoë Thomas; sisters, Margaret Carlson, Pauline Golden and Darlene (Howard) Schultz; sisters-in-law, Luella Lindseth, Faye Silverthorn and Virginia (Al) Williamson and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard and brothers, Delbert Lindseth, Jim Lindseth and Neal Lindseth.
