Carol Ann Christianson

Carol Ann (Hinrichs) Christianson died February 4, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 28th, 5:00-7:00pm at Nary Community Center, 25895 County 9, Nary, MN, with a prayer service at 6:00pm. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 29th, at 10:30am at Malvik Lutheran Church, 27689 474th Street, Guthrie, MN, with visitation one hour prior to service.

Carol was born in Farmington, MN, on June 22, 1942, to Albert and Edna (Ross) Hinrichs. She grew up in the Rosemount area until she was 12 years old and moved to Bemidji when her parents bought the Grace Lake Store. She went to Nary School and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1960. She married Arnold Christianson in 1961 (later divorced) and had two children.

Carol spent most of her career at Bemidji State University and retired from there. Over the years she was very active in church groups, quilting, stamping, card making, youth groups and 4-H. She was currently volunteering with 1st graders at Horace May Elementary School helping with reading and math.

She is survived by her 2 children Tonneli (Garry Fleck) Christianson and Bruce (Lori) Christianson; grandchildren Brandon (Carrie Fagerland) Christianson, Justin Christianson, Meagan (Aaron) Hulsebus; great-grandchildren Emryn and Declan Hulsebus and sister, Jeanne Stomberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Albert.
