Barbara Borgen

Barbara Borgen, 61, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, March 22, 2021 in Bemidji, MN surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be 5-9 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Bemidji Eagles Club.

Barbara Jo Mintey was born August 22, 1959 in Bemidji, MN to Wayne and Margaret Mintey. She grew up in the Guthrie area and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1977. Barb worked for Northern National Bank immediately after high school. She would work there for 21 years before going to work for Security Bank USA where she worked until June 2020. Barb married Gary Borgen on August 16, 1997 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Bemidji. Barb enjoyed playing bingo, reading and taking care of her house plants. Her most cherished time was her time spent with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Borgen; sons, Anthony “Tony” (Tara) Erickson and Danny (Nicole Bryngelson) Erickson; stepchildren, Stacey Finch and Stephanie (Stephen) Watson; 4 grandchildren, Aden, Logan, Jack and Kaydence and siblings, David (Tracy) Mintey, Patricia Farmer, Laura (John) Magnuson, Richard Mintey, Roger (Jolene) Mintey and Bonnie (Paul) Lindquist.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Peggy Bundy.
