Arlon Struecker

Arlon Lee “Zeech” Struecker, 63, of Cass Lake, MN died Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held sometime in July of 2021. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family. His cremated remains will be distributed according to his will.

Arlon was the youngest son born to Aleen (Bollinger) and Werner Struecker in Algona, Iowa, on September 8th, 1957. He moved with his family to Cass Lake in 1969, and graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1976. He then graduated from Northwest Technical College with an Associates Degree in Auto body Collision and Repair Technology in 1994. He worked in the logging industry, for Richard Wittner Logging and, upon graduating Northwest Technical College, he opened his own auto body shop, EZ Auto & Truck, in Cass Lake. He continued to be self employed, continued logging, and did repair work for friends and family in the area until becoming the Lead Auto Body and Repair Technician at Riggles Bus Company, in Cass Lake. Upon leaving Riggles Bus Company he worked for Dondelinger Chevrolet in Bemidji, MN and later found that being self employed made him happiest. His son, Cody, was born January 31st, 1990. He married Tonya Hammock in August of 1996. He was a Jack of all trades and was the best “Papa Z” to two loving grandchildren. He was a loyal Twins and Vikings fan, passionate outdoorsman, and loved hunting and fishing, restoring classic cars, riding his motorcycle, and going to auctions. He was a devoted father and friend who was hardworking, kind, humble, and thoughtful.

He is survived by his siblings Dan Struecker, Bahne and wife Diane Struecker, and Terry Struecker, his son, Cody, and wife Brandy Struecker, and two grandchildren, Brayden and Rylee Struecker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Werner and Aleen, and his brother, Marlyn Struecker.  Condolences may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com.
