Annette was born March 14, 1938 in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of John and Annie (Sittig) Bakke. She was raised and educated in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1956. She married Marvin Allen Hoisve, July 9, 1960 in Bemidji, MN. She worked for First National Bank in St. Paul for 23 years. She loved to crochet and made many blankets and sweaters. She loved to play cards, especially Hands and Feet, 313, Cribbage, and 500. Marv and Annette loved to travel, go camping, fishing, and bowling. Annette had a great sense of humor, and a contagious laugh that would light up the room. She especially enjoyed her granddaughter’s jokes. At the annual Christmas gatherings with family, Marv and Annette would make lutefisk and homemade lefse which everyone truly enjoyed. On the Fourth of July weekend, as a family, they went to Akeley, MN to the Brauhas German Restaurant for dinner and then to the Woodtick Theater for some music entertainment. Annette had a skill at winning card games even though she would say, “I never win!”. She was witty but also sensitive. Annette enjoyed watching the Olympics and anything with ice skating or gymnastics. She was a good listener and always knew how to cheer you up if you were having a bad day.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Hoisve of Bemidji, MN, daughters, Marnette Hoisve of Brooklyn Park, MN and Jill Hoisve of Buffalo, MN, siblings, Joan Bakke, Carol Bakke, Gene Bakke, and Shirley Wood all from Bemidji, granddaughter, Kelsey Squires of Columbia Heights, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
