Patricia Marie Upton, 94, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Gold Pine Home in Bemidji.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place on 17 November at St. Patrick's Church, Verplanck, NY. There will also be a Memorial Service held at GoldPine Home in Bemidji, MN at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 28, 2018. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted with the arrangements.

Born August 22nd 1924 at her family's home in the Throgg's Neck section of the Bronx, the 8th of 9 children to Patrick and Mary Agnes (Ryan) Cunningham. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Manhattan in 1942 and went on to work at Met Life. She married George Upton on October 22, 1955 at her home parish, St Benedict's. In 1957, she and George and their son, George, moved to Montrose, New York where Pat lived until moving to Bemidji in 2001. Pat worked as a Postal Clerk for 20 years in Montrose until her retirement, when she began travelling with her siblings to Europe and Ireland. She was a long time parishioner of St Patrick's, Verplanck, NY and since her move to Bemidji, of St Philip's.

Pat is survived by her treasured sister, Peggy Cunningham, Bronx, NY, son George (Kathy) Upton of Ingleside, Illinois, daughter Barbara (Jose) Gomez of Nassau, Bahamas and Peggy (Mark) Schultz of Bemidji, beloved grandchildren Kiersten Upton, Elizabeth (Alex) Ramsay, Cristobal Gomez, Gabriela Gomez, Conor (Kelly) Schultz and Sarah Schultz and many nieces and nephews and friends here in Bemidji and in New York.

She was predeceased by her parents, spouse and siblings, Marion (Lawrence) Gill, Ciss (Adrian) Murphy, John (Anne) Cunningham, Ed Cunningham, Winnie (George) Biolsi, Vin Cunningham and Billy Cunningham.

Pat's family wants to extend their warmest thanks to the staff at Gold Pine Home where she lived for the last 2 years. Those years were well lived and well loved with lots of laughter. Also, thanks to Dr Rod Will and Jane Messner, LPN for their care over the years. Pat will be remembered for her laughter, kindness, generosity and strong Catholic faith.
