Roberta was born in Wilton to Frank and Clara (Christensen) on April 3, 1941. Berta, as she was known to family and friends, moved to Bemidji when she was very young. (her husband and children are grateful she changed her mind) On July 11, 1959 she married Ronnie Werstlein. Their union produced 4 children in the next 5 years. Berta didn't sit still long, she was always busy with something whether it was family, friends, work or later volunteering at the church. She was very dedicated, devoted and loving to her family, friends, church and employers.
