GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- A woman died after she was struck by a vehicle while lying on a state highway, according to the North Dakota State Highway Patrol.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday. According to a new release, the vehicle, a 2004 Honda CRV, was heading eastbound on Highway 2 from Arvilla to Grand Forks. The driver was unable to see the 41-year-old woman, in all dark clothes, lying on the the road. The driver then hit the woman, and she died from injuries on the scene.
The woman's body was transported by ambulance to the Grand Forks County Coroner's Office. The incident remains under investigation.
