FARGO, N.D. -- Steve Ammermann was named deputy director of Forum Communications Co.'s Daily Division Group on Thursday.
Forum Communications Co. President Lloyd Case said Ammermann will continue as publisher of the West Central Tribune of Willmar in addition to his new duties.
"Ammermann has 25 years of leadership experience in the newspaper business and brings a wealth of talent to this leadership role," Case said.
Forum Communications Co.'s Daily Division Group consists of the West Central Tribune, the Bemidji Pioneer, the Worthington Daily Globe, the Jamestown (N.D.) Sun, the Dickinson (N.D.) Press and the Mitchell (S.D.) Daily Republic.
Ammermann said he is looking forward to the challenges of his new responsibilities with Forum Communications.

"Our group's daily newspapers are located in excellent communities in Minnesota, North and South Dakota," Ammermann said. "Our focus will be to continue meeting the needs of reader and advertising customers in those markets. The newspaper industry is facing exciting and changing times."
Forum Communications Co. also publishes daily newspapers in Fargo, N.D., Duluth, Red Wing, Grand Forks, N.D., and Superior, Wis., and weekly newspapers in 23 communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota. The company also has broadcasting properties in Fargo, Grand Forks and Bismarck, N.D., and commercial printing and interactive media divisions.
