Wendell De Wayne Krueth, 58, of Kelliher, died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at his home.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Northern Point Community Church of the Nazarene in Kelliher with Rev. Ed Anderson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Fairview Cemetery in Kelliher. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1948, to Alfred and Agnes Krueth, at Bemidji Hospital. He attended school in Kelliher then moved to Minneapolis to work for the Star Tribune and later worked for an antique dealer. He returned to Kelliher where he worked at the Tap-A-Keg and then became a licensed foster parent and care for several children throughout the last 25 years. He was a dedicated father and child advocacy was of significant importance in his life.
His interests include repairing and restoring guitars, and research and writing on topics of interest to him. He possessed a wealth of knowledge related to musical history and was especially interested in "blues." He played guitar and harmonica in various bands and always enjoyed a good jam session.
He is survived by his sons, Mark, Luke, Ronnie, Jason and David, all of the Kelliher area; sisters, Lorraine Peck of Blackduck, Judeen (Kermit) Johnson of Richfield, Muriel (Robert) Trushenski of Bloomington and Yvonne (Clarence) Trushenski of Billings, Mont.; brother, Earl of Ham Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a brother-in-law.
