BEMIDJI -- The eighth annual Walk to Remember will take place Oct. 3 in the east lobby at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, 1300 Anne Street NW.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by the walk at 10 a.m. A memorial service will follow the walk with a tree planting ceremony and reading of names. A silent auction will conclude at 11:30 a.m.  Participants are encouraged to create a poster or bring a photo for the memory wall to further remember the babies they hold in their hearts. This event is free to the public but it is strongly encouraged for participants to pre-register, but it is not required. However, you must preregister to have your baby’s name included in the memorial booklet or to purchase a T-shirt. Registration forms must be received by Sept. 20. For more information or questions, call (218) 333-5755. Proceeds from the walk will benefit the PETAL (Parents Embracing Time After Loss) program by providing mementos and support information to every parent who experiences a loss to remember their child by when they leave the hospital.
