Violet Amanda Bock, 90, formerly of Puposky, died on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Northern Pines Good Samaritan Center in Blackduck.

A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Puposky with Rev. Jay Borchert officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home of Bemidji and will continue one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Our Redeemer's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

She was born on Feb. 7, 1917, to John and Hilda Gentner, in Gonvick. She was raised at the state school in Owatonna until she was adopted by the Geistfeld family of Lewisville, Minn. She married Reuben Bock on Feb. 12, 1935, in Truman, Minn. They moved to Puposky in 1938, where she lived until the time of her death. She worked at Jack's Supper Club for 17 years.

She enjoyed working on the farm and playing whist.

She is survived by her son, Gerald "Sonny" Bock of Puposky; daughter, Marilyn (George) Hamm of Franklin, Kan.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter; brother, Andrew Gentner; and sister, Phyllis Berg.
