U.S. Attorney recognizes Beltrami County Sheriff's Office

ST. PAUL--The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office was one of multiple agencies recognized by the U.S. Attorney's Office during the inaugural Pursuit of Justice Awards Ceremony on Tuesday.

ST. PAUL-The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office was one of multiple agencies recognized by the U.S. Attorney's Office during the inaugural Pursuit of Justice Awards Ceremony on Tuesday.

"This group of dedicated professionals work tirelessly for the betterment of our community in pursuit of a common goal - the desire to make our community a safer and more just place to live, work, love and play," said U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald. "Today, we honor them by publicly celebrating their achievements and recognizing the sacrifices that they and their families make in the name of justice."

The release did not indicate the specific reason why the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office was receiving the award. In addition to the local sheriff's office, award recipients included members from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Minneapolis Police Department; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; NorthPoint Health and Wellness, Inc.; the city of Minneapolis; Hennepin County; the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Minnesota Commerce Fraud Bureau; the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation; and the Minnesota County Attorneys Association.

In all, 36 individuals were recognized "for their outstanding work and selfless contributions to the mission of the United States Attorney's Office-the pursuit of truth and justice," according to a press release.
