Saarens Productions' third Independent Film Night will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Wild Rose Theater, 501 Bemidji Ave. N., Bemidji.
The featured filmmaker is James Vogel of Minneapolis.
"Recreation," a nine-minute film about the youth drug culture in a large metropolitan area, will be followed by the feature-length film, "The City," a film about a struggling college student majoring in screenwriting who decides to explore his darker persona in order to sell his script.
Both films are for mature audiences due to adult language, content and violence.
Suggested admission price is $5.

Audience members can vote for films they believe should progress to the second annual Fathom Film Festival in April at the Wild Rose Theater.
