Big thanks to DNR naturalist John Fylpaa, assisted by Kathy, in hosting the Take a Kid Fishing event on Lake Bemidji on Feb. 14. It was a lot of hard work on a windy day, but those of us there had a great time. The tent setup helped out.
I would encourage kids to try to attend next year.
My nephew, Jackson Finnegan, caught the only fish this time.
