BEMIDJI-A mobile home fire broke out on Tuesday evening, causing the Bemidji Fire Department to respond to its second structure fire of the day.

According to a press release, the fire was reported at 6:16 p.m. at a mobile home within the city limits. The fire was located in the rear bedroom of the mobile home, which was unoccupied at the time. The department spent approximately three hours on scene.

Firefighters were able to contain and quickly put out the fire, and there was minor damage to the building and its contents, the release said.

The Bemidji Police Department and Bemidji Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.

Almost exactly 12 hours prior, the department also responded to another mobile home fire in Eckles Township, which had been reported at 6:15 a.m. That fire caused extensive damage to building and contents. No injuries were reported in either fire.
