Scotland to throne at the Junior World Women's Championships Saturday defeating Canada 7-6 in an extra end in the title round at Eveleth.
It marked the fourth title for the Scots in the 20 year history of the women's division but their first since Julia Ewert defeated Sweden in the 1997 final. Scotland won the Bronze in 2002, the year Bemidji's Cassie Johnson claimed the championship.
The Scots did it with a flourish stealing two in the 10th to tie 6-6 and another in the11th to win.
Canada's Stacie Devereaux rink broke a 1-1 tie with three in the fourth.
Scotland got one back in the fifth and stole one in the sixth to trail 4-3.

After blanking the seventh the Canadians added two in the eighth to lead by three and seemed home free.
But Scotland got one back in the ninth, then stole two in the tenth to force an extra end.
Denmark wins Bronze
Denmark rallied in the final two ends to hand Team USA its second straight loss in the playoffs 8-6.
The Aileen Sormunen rink of Duluth never trailed until the Danes scored twice in the ninth to take a 7-6 lead, then stole one in the tenth to cement the victory.
It denied Team USA its first medal since Bemidji's Cassie Johnson quartet won the World title in 2002.
Sormunen started promisingly, scoring three in the first.
Denmark got two back in the second and the two teams alternated scoring singletons the next four frames.

Denmark then stole one in the seventh to tie the count at 5-5, only to have Sormunen get it back in the eighth.
But the Danes went ahead in the ninth for the first time and nailed down the win with the steal in the tenth.
It marked the second straight year Denmark has won the Bronze which they have won or shared on three previous occasions.
The Sormunen rink, coached by Bemidji's Bob Fenson included Courtney George, Molly Bonner, Jordan Moulton and alternate Monica Walker.

Canada and Sweden returned to the final in the men's division and will clash at 1:30 for the title.

Canada, the defending champion, ousted Denmark 8-2 while Sweden won over Switzerland 11-3.
The Danes and Swiss play the Bronze Medal game at 9.
Denmark had gained the final four by beating Team USA in a tiebreaker Friday.
Canada broke a 2-2 tie after five by scoring three in the sixth and stole singles the next three ends before Denmark conceded.
Sweden used a four spot in the third to take a 6-1 lead and closed out its match after eight with a three count.
